tbh I'm gonna need a source for that because I checked their twitter and there isn't a tweet confirming multiplayer functionality in No Mans Sky Next

keep your eyes on the patch notes as well if those come out first, since they will probably mention GOG like they did in the atlas rises notes if theres an issue.

That is false. They said they would have news (I should know I posted it), they did not confirm if MP will be in the GOG version (at-least from what I posted there, if they claimed this somewhere else, I haven't seen it). My speculation was the reason the orb feature was missing in Atlas Ries is was due to VOIP, which I was clear about, and I could be 100% wrong. Others claim they have seen the orbs, so maybe this was added later.. but in the patch notes released by Hello Games it was missing on Galaxy.

They never posted a tweet to all, only directly to those who asked. And they never confirmed MP only that they would have news, see above.
