Ran into a problem I am new to this game...so I am going thru a learning curve as I discover better ways to do things I usually remove old saves and start new. New problem started after last update ..if in original playthru I build a base...then delete and restart from scratch the multitool show as damaged in either rhe visor is missing or one or more empty slots is damaged. The only way to fix this I've found was to force a review of the files and reload. Needless to say this ia abit of a pain.

Not entirely clear what you're trying to do here. The expected way to start new is to right click on a slot in the opening Select screen. Simply deleting the old saved games might work but might also bypass necessary initialization.

It may be that in prior releases, some capabilities (e.g., multitool status) was retained by starting over by deleting the saved games. If that was happening, then I'd guess that in the current release they've been more careful in running through all of the initialization steps if no saved game is found.
