So the main entry of NMS has updated with a massive new version. this happens when games are updated\re-released with so much content it had to be a brand new entry and not an updated one. This is what Skyrim's sub DB page looked like after the "Special Edition" update.

edit: if this is true the upload/update to GOG should be going as well as that takes longer then a steam upload usually.

I am hoping that this is version 1.3 and is a large update. But the SteamDB information does not give an indication on the size of the update. It could be a massive update or it could be a spelling correction, or, since it a stub, it may not even be related to NMS.

This might be random steam thing... The true anniversary is between the 9th and 12th so who knows.

I need to quell my hype for this update... I'm way to excited again...

Very curious about this too... I think it's currently the game release I'm most looking forward to, and it's "only" an update, not a new game.
