NMS is discounted at the moment so it seemed an ideal time to buy, but the system requirements only talk about Windows and the checkout page shows NMS as not being compatible with my Mac (an M4 Pro).

I know Mac is a supported system for NMS generally, and Steam shows it as okay for the Mac too. There are even occasional mentions of Mac in the changelog thread here on GOG, and I'd rather get it via GOG than Steam but am concerned that I'd only get the Windows edition.

Is this a listing error for NMS on GOG and Mac is included, or will I need to go via Steam?

I can confirm that GOG has only a Windows version of No Man's Sky. It's not just that the store page doesn't show Mac support.
