I noticed a blue dot on my games list for NMS. It`s not a patch, but the whole executable has a different number now. Guess I should just install and see what happens.

There was a patch yesterday just under a gig in size and thanks to my connection lagging to hell and back I found out there was another one being downloaded by galaxy that weighs in at a hefty 1.4 gigs.

(Hefty in comparison to the original download of the game)

Why no patch file why update the whole thing GoG :( :( :( :(
Happy there is another update though as yesterdays one didn't help I fear.

Last update somehow improved the framerate for me (on the bit lower than minimum requirements laptop). Bad eyesight blur seems "toned down" to nothing. Not entirely sure what was changed that stopped the crunch-hangs, though. Nothing in the changelogs anywhere that mentions any thread scheduling changes, or update frequencies, and things like that.

I`m not so happy. Had my second crash in game since this patch. Whenever I try to access a multi-tool box on the wall, the game crashes every time. In the end I just went somewhere else and it didn`t crash any more, but now I`m always nervous if it`s going to crash. Game never, ever crashed before this patch.

Can`t help but get the feeling that in the Dev`s rush to fix crashes for people who were having problems, they`ve given it to people like me who had none. :(

Oh well, i`m sure they`ll iron them all out in a month.

Have you tried a clean install of the game? You can back up your saves and try with a new game to see if it isn't an issue with the saves perhaps getting corrupted somehow...
