Is the new expedition up and running? And why I can't start it?
It says "downloading data" on top of it and I can't initialise it.
Even if I leave it and wait it still just says "downloading data".
It's the same no matter if I want to start a new game or join/start new group.

Start the game and at the main menu click on New Game and in the next window there is an option to start an expedition. Don't forget to press "E" at the white screen to initialize the new game.

The expedition *shall be* still up and running. I have finished it a few days ago.

If you have that strange "downloading data" message, then there must be something wrong with your Internet connection (unlikely - because you wouldn't be able to write this message), or maybe your installation?

Do you have the relatively recent (3.64 or later - the newest is 3.66) game version?

Maybe there is no free space on one of your disks? Some firewall blocking access to something?

Maybe a reinstall - as the worst case scenario - wold help?

I have updated and verified the installation but dumbass and I get the same downloading data message Rudal is getting with this expedition.

Gog galaxy caused me to miss the last expedition as well.
I resent having to use GOG galaxy when games here were suppose to be drm free.
I hate gog galaxy period.
I hated steam just as much but gog is making me wish I had just bought the game there instead.

Something else that can potentially block these is having mods installed and running which are not verified to be compatible with the latest version of NMS. It all depends upon which files are overwritten by the mod.

I have no mods installed, I specifically used gog galaxy to install for expeditions I normally use offline installers

There is nothing wrong with my connection as other games run with no problems.
I have most recent version of the game and about 824GB of free space on my SSD.

I haven't tried to verify the game files though. Unless I am being "blocked" somehow by the GOG's Galaxy app then I have no idea what's wrong... :(

Just in case because this has been discussed on Steam - are those affected using Windows 7 boxes that did not fix the TLS 1.0 problem? Someone on Steam apparently was playing off-line and could not get Expeditions enabled until this old problem had been corrected.

A couple of Steam players had the same problem and one recent poster claimed to be playing off-line and that a reinstallation fixed the problem when everything else failed. Stand alone players purchasing from GOG probably have the download saved so this could be an option without having to re-download everything.

I am just passing the information along as this is rare problem so few solutions have been posted and this obviously occurs on Steam, possibly consoles but I do not follow any of those.

I hat that too, but there is a Easy solution for it.

1) Start the Game with a old save.
2) Press Escape and insigde the Options Menu select back to Mode Selection
3) Select new Game and the Expedition, now it will work.

In Future it will work directly
