I wonder if anyone has tried, or will try to play NMS in an self imposed "IronMan Mode": If you die you delete your saves. How long would that take you to reach the centre of the galaxy ? :)

It would, no doubt, be very difficult.

As for how quickly said player will get to the center of the galaxy, that's up to him.

It should take a few days though.

If you used maybe some cheats and if you would be able to do some nearly endless warps it might be possible to do this "fast".

Ok, but this would make no sense at all (only my opinion) because you would have no chance to encounter all the possible things on "some" of the planets present in NMS,
There are trillions of them waiting for you to gather stuff, get killed by the environment, get nuked by pirates, get killed by your own carelessness, you would learn no language, encounter no aliens .... the list is endless, and - this game might be anything, but it surely is no race.

Your proposal - you always would start with "scene one, first act", and this means with the smallest ship, minimal tools, all of them in near defunct status.
I really can not see the fun in this ...
