Dammit that title is supposed to say WITHOUT SteamVR! Too late for me.
I feel it`s my duty to explain how I play without SteamVr and even without Open Composite so here`s what I do.
1. First start Steam VR. You may need to start a VR game for Steam VR to show up.
2. Go into the settings.
3. Look up and you`ll see a line that says, "Start SteamVr when a Steam Application starts."
It will be ticked. Untick it.
Quit Steam.
Now go and start GOG NMS with Oculus and it`ll play without Steam.
But you`ll need to tick it back on if you play a SteamVr game.
