Are there alot of bugs in this game?
I've read from some people that it sometimes doesn't save your changes if you build a base in a freighter and then warp to another system.
Or others wrote something about loosing materials.

Is that a problem that appears often? How stable is this game (i would play SP only)

The current state in version 2.14 is: The game is well playable with some isolated bugs related to the freighter and base construction in Multiplayer.
Technically, what you build on your freighter is not considered to be a 'Base' and you shouldn't do the base quests there with the exception of the Farmer specialist which will do well. Build a base on a planet and do the related quests there to avoid any problems.

Stats for upgrades not showing, and enemy ship damage bars being offset are annoying

I dont know if its just me not in multiplayer and not using VR, but your threat direction pointers leading to a life bar instead of a ship is annoying.

I have about twenty issues reported to HelloGames currently, some go back a few years. But mostly the game is not badly affected by them.
okay great, thank you both for your answers. A few bugs are no problem for me, i'm also playing games in early access where you have sometimes tons of bugs :)
Just wanted to make sure that its good playable before i spend that much money on a game (usually i buy cheaper games, but this one looks so good to me:D)

If this is your type of game, it's well worth the full price. As far as bugs go, there are a number of minor ones that , while they can be annoying, they aren't game-breaking. And they're easily worked around. As noted, there are some with bases on freighters, which are best avoided by building on a planet (you can have multiple bases anyway, and you can teleport directly to them, so it's not the big a deal. You can't teleport to and from a base on a freighter though).

Anyway, hope you enjoy the game, Interloper!
Oh its definitely worth it, HelloGames even though they are a small Indie company are probably the best supportive game company I have ever seen, and in that regard they are much better than companies with an army of developers (like Bethesda who are roughly about 300 strong, but repeatedly leave their games with a huge amount of bugs they rely on the modding community to fix with unofficial patches).

Patches and updates with new features are still coming out 3 years after the game was launched by Hellogames.

Personally I am well over 3000 hours game time now (not evident on my GOG profile because I dont use GOG Galaxy all the time, when I am not beta testing experimental versions of up coming updates I install the Offline Backup standalone version of the game, and uninstall GOG Galaxy again).

I would not hesitate to recommend No Man's Sky, the minor bugs it has would not put me off, and more than likely they will get round to fixing them. The bugs I reported may well be system specific unusual cases, and as Terriblepurpose says nothing game breaking.
