Hello everyone,

i got the game yesterday, because i heared of the big new update and gave it a try..

I didn't get beyond the first mission at your ships crash site, because its unplayable.
The whole screen is heavily blurred in very weird graphics.

The graphics in all my other games that i play are fine!

My Card is a radeon R9 200 series;
Updated AMD radeon drivers to the latest version 17.7.2 and checked that everything is at "default".

Windows 7, 64bit - latest updates;

Any idea what else i could do to get it to work ?

Thanks for your help! :)

Solved,

the problem was that i had the AMD driver software installed. i just uninstalled it completely and now everything works fine, without the radeon software suit.

Strange but it seems that i still have a driver that works, maybe trough windows update..
Just raising this as I have exactly the same issue and others have mentioned that reverting to 16.* driver (From over 12 months ago) fixes it. However I refuse to go back to an old version of the AMD driver (Which is probably what has happened when you uninstalled the current one) given how many things it fixes in the games I play.

Does anyone have anything else to try? I have tried the texture fixes but no luck

By "texture fixes" do you mean this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/6va4bj/fix_for_people_with_horrible_textures_on_amd/

That fixed my blurry texture issue. After every update I try to turn TextureStreamingEx back to auto but it just blurs the textures again, so for now this is how I run it.

Yep thats the one I tried. I have also deleted the shader folder as well but no luck! I have an AMD R9 390 so unsure if it is related to that series of cards (Older ones).

That stinks! I have an RX 480. Did you delete the 3 xml files in the folder and run the game to regenerate them, then make the change to the TextureStreamingEx setting? Not sure if that would help but that's the only other thing I can think of trying.
