I didnt have any of these troubles with the mission. Just that base that took a while to load.

THE NEW UPDATE:

The patch notes say existing planets and bases will not be affected, but contrary reports are already coming in.

I suggest waiting until late Friday before updating to allow the servers to catch up and a patch to be issued.

After that, please check your bases in GoG Space to see if anything is wrong with them.

There already is an Experimental patch for this which states that this only happens only in certain galaxies and only in non-Yellow systems. See Change Log thread

Wow! Lots of changes in the environment... Some of the planets look very different now. My bases are okay. Lots of boulders here and there but nothing worse. Looks great altogether!

Anyone else problems with 'online discovery service'? I lost connection after some time yesterday and it didn't come back until now.

I too have lost connection to discovery services. Seems like a typical update glitch though.

I went around to my bases and they are all fine. Some planets have changed slightly, and some majorly.

@Nob: I think you have a pleasant surprise awaiting you at at least one of your bases!

UPDATE: OK I went to the address of the smooshed planets, and it is amazing! I built a base computer so I can take people there if you want to see it. Gravity is weird, storms are intense, but it's worth a laugh or two. Hit me up in-game and we'll go.

Yes, Portokali for example looks very different now... and not to it's best in my eyes... My 'farms' won't work anymore because of the fauna changed. Whatever! Still a very nice update.

Be careful: I got some crashes to desktop with the new teleporter at my bases. Now I save often. It happens sometimes after I joined a new target base. Hope for a fix..

I've taken the livercheese of claiming two new system for GoG Civilized Space.

I present to you:

GoG-1C

and GoG-F8 Yushijona (which is mislabeled in the GMAP, sorry)

Screenshots shows glyphs, but they are adjacent to GoG Space.

Yushi has the swamp planet with my new tower stronghold base. Come by and visit!

The other one has new planet types too, and is very interesting.


Where is Portokali? Has it's name changed? What system is it in?

It's the third lush planet in GoG-87. The formerly orange one. And formerly south-sea-like one. Now it's purple and gloomy. My water park base there feels somehow misplaced ;)

I'm avoiding GoG-Space for now. Most of the systems around where discovered before. In some of them there are already bases. As long as I can't connect to servers I can't see former discoveries and bases. GoG-1C is in my list for example.
