I just realized, that the game will insist on running me through the boredom of its linear, uninspiring 'main' quest, and I really cba to run a full exploration on the jumps required as to properly chart them for the Good Old Galaxy-verse.

I'll be off to my starter base in Eissentam for this one. See you soon :)
Heh, and on my way to end the quest, I of course ran into a 'freighter rescue'. This is still so bugged, that it's allmost funny. Except, it is not.
OK, I've got outposts in Ukorja, Nojoseo, and Ajoitus if anybody wants to go there and explore.

You know the routine: Find me in-game and tell me where you want to go.

I'll teleport there and then you join my game. Like magic, you'll automatically be there with me in the same system.

Hope this helps!
-John

PS Nojoseo is a bit more challenging than the others, IMHO.

I agree that "Rawten" planet ins the Nojoseo system would be a good place for newcomers to go.

Your thoughts?

We now have an outpost in the 15th Galaxy (Ogtialabi). I decided to drop base in the [GOG-B0] Pappar Star System, which is run quite successfully by the Gek (economy is affluent) and has a nice mix of Biomes. Ogtialabi is classified as a Harsh Galaxy, meaning, that you'll get your butt kicked a little more than in sunny Euclid.

The planet [GoG-B0] Camp Ogtialiabi is on is an extreme one, and I'm getting hammered by Blizzards pretty much every few minutes. I love it :)

Yesterday at [GoG-87] Gek Fake Landing Site ...

'Sir ? Sir ? ... yes, yes ... Pomeroy here ... yes, we just arrived at the landing site on Vacua ... no, no ... it's all fake ... yes, sir, the Gek definitely staged the landing ... no, probably for tricking some idiot into buying the TV rights for a fortune ... hahaha ... oh, what ? Your brother ? Erh ... erh ... yes ... I'll have the men run the tank over my foot right away ...'.

Note: Parts of this base have been built in Blender. This was a bit of a nightmare, but a fun one, nonetheless.

The game will have the same troubles and expose the same odd behaviours with on only a single base and two players in a system.

About the only reason to spread out is to provide more diverse biomes, which is a good thing.

Providing one or two addtional Star Systems, preferably in close vicinity because navigating the map is a pain, will help keeping things together, so that most bases (hopefully) will be in these Star Systems.
Colony candidate:
(4)
System Name: [GOG-93] Dumas
Original System Name: Avuuvsa XIV

Base name for teleport: [GoG/93 Dumas Aramis] The Ruin
Address: 07fd:0082:07f3:0193
(See attachment for portal code.)

Throughout the system, sentinel presence is neglegible.

Aramis, paradise planet: yellow-ish surface, the sea is actually seagreen (!)
There's already a small base w/ LP and a Nomad underneath.

Athos, cold desert: breathtaking landscape - vulcanos, craters

Grimaud, icy moon: KSJ liked this one, nice caves

Porthos, hot desert: populated cave systems (red and dusty), the occasional lake

Mousqueton, radiated moon: quite tame (6rad 12 tox). cave systems (red and dusty)

PSA: Please allways also give the original name of a Star System, if you renamed a Star System without keeping the original name as part of the new name.

The original name will be displayed, if the pointer on the map is close to the system. The new name will only be displayed, if you're pointing directly at the system. Not keeping the original name as part of the new name will make finding the Star System allmost impossible.

If you renamed a Star System without keeping the original name as part of the new name, please also provide the original name of the Star System.

The wiki is currently edit protected. If you want to edit, create an account with Fandom, tell me your username, and I'll add you.

I'm currently structuring the thing and creating templates. So expect things to move around and change quite heavily.

Things I need
- A nice background image for the wiki
Jpg, png, gif. Size < 300kb, current pic is 1900x1086px, fades to black left right and bottom
- A logo would be nice. But since we left Faust completely out in the cold with that, I doubt we'll have one in the near future.
- Some nice pictures for the placeholders on the front page
Jpg, png, gif. Keep filesize small (10MB allowed), 185x185px, bigger ones get scaled down by the site.
- People actually reading what I burped into the pages so far, so it can be improved

If you suggest something, you're very likely on the hook for actually doing it in the Wiki.

Nevermind the frickin typo in the end of the URL. I'm trying to correct that.

"Avuusva XIV" - See why I wanted to rename this?
-_-
This piece of software is faulty - did anybody tell the developers? (Oh sure, but the person who developed the galactic map is long gone, and noboday can read their code ...)

Wow. I like it very much. Your texts are great! Thank you! Now I will try to keep track of this, too - while having troubles to keep track here at moment... I'm very much limited to weekends in the near future.

Are there any format guidlines for the stuff you mentionend?

Thanks -- I've updated my original post. I thought about using in-game gestures or somesuch for some of the tiles, maybe a minimalistic beginner base (wood, three walls, one door, roof) for the Base Show-Off section -- graphics a bit on the humorous, lighter side.

Thanks for trying to tackle this -- much appreciated :)
OK, sorry about that. When I disappeared mid-game two days ago it was because the internet went out.

Turns out the outage was for the whole county as they were rebuilding the fiber optic system. Either that or their squirrel fell off it's wheel!

But I'm back online now. And feeling "explory" again.

Been there ... seemingly innocent actions like giving a Star System a name (I like the Dumas theme you chose) will have unexpected results in this algorithmically generated "On- and Offline / Single / Multiplayer"-Verse.

Oh, and:
Thanks for lending a hand with the wiki :)
