GOG 1.09 missing/broken functionality again?

Steam version the TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML creates 2 new entries:

<Property name="NumHighThreads" value="1" />
<Property name="NumLowThreads" value="2" />
GOG Galaxy Client version NMS 1.09 does not create nor seem to use these settings.

It would not be surprising if yet again the GOG executable was compiled using wrong/bad/old code. Just as happened with the patch 1284085 where the AMD Phenon fixes already in place on Steam did not arrive till the next patch for GOG.

EDIT: To be clear, I went looking for settings to change as 1.09 performs around 20ish FPS even at 1920x1080, whereas I had been running at 60+ FPS at 2560x1440 since launch.
To save anyone from suggesting these things:
deleted shadercache folder
removed all mods
deleted TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML
started game and let it generate a completely new TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML
checked TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML after exit of game.

EDIT2:
Another noted difference between the file as generated on the GOG patch released yesterday versus the Steam patch released yesterday is that the version in the TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML is version 1 on GOG and version 2 on Steam for the patches released yesterday.
<Property name="Version" value="1" />

Just figured I would reply to my own thread here to note that the experimental 1.09.1 released recently (same time Steam got a new experimental) includes the threading code that produces these entries.

So a month later we "might" be on par with Steam again.
Where did you get 1.08? I would love to comment on 1.09, tiny as it is, but it does not upgrade my copy of 1.07

Steam latest patch went public about 1 hour ago.
Waiting for GOG patch to show up in downloads page in around 1 or 2 days...

Shows up in Gog Galaxy as 1.09.1 just as the experimental did. Also shows as having been provided 13 days ago which is about right for the experimental. Also all the files match the ones from the experimental.

Steam build released today was the same as their experimental from the 14th.
