Intrigued? Good or else you would never have clicked on this topic.

When piloting the Nomad Exocraft. When you go to exit the craft it slingshots me backwards across the map and I end up minutes away from the exocraft. Fun eh?

And this isn't a random occurance. Happened more than once. The first time I was facing away from a body of water and it sent me flying away off coast and splashed down into the sea. maybe about half a minute away. The second time sent me further across the map where the time it would have taken to run back to the craft was about 3-4 minutes!

Has anyone experienced this yet?

Actually another glitch I've experienced is with inventory item transfering. I somehow managed to transfer my jetpack from my exosuit to my ship. Now it's stuck in there with the only option to replace my ship. I was able to build another jetpack in my exosuit though. Just now have one 'locked' inventory slot.

Not had it happen, but it did make me think how useful that would be for planet rides with the wife.

Ejection seat her side of course.
Nice one :)

And it happened again. This time I was on a oceanic jaunt across a vast distance of water. (I'm set up on an ocean planet). And once again I got catapulted backwards by about 2-3 miles and no resources left to charge my 'air mask'. I was screwed that time. Luckily I had saved at an underwater abandoned base not too long ago. LOL

I think it happens when on land. I was on a small outcropping of land sticking out of the water trying to get at some thamium90. Seems to happen while the exocraft is still in motion.

Try it. Just move along an uneven surface and then exit while still in motion. >:)

Try this: When you're stuck in the middle of the water and can't recharge the air supply, use the underwater version of the jetpack (swim up) to launch into the air. That kicks off the regular jetpack and you can travel some distance forward and "breathe" enough to get some air back.

When you do fall back into the water, the jetpack is apparently instntly recharged (that will probably be "fixed" in a future update ;-), allowing you to repeat the process pretty much indefinitely.

It is pretty slow if you have any real distance to travel but it can be a way to rescue yourself if there's something you'd rather not lose by going back to the last save point.
Thanks for the advice.

:)

Now I just drive my Roamer underwater for my oceanic "Jacques Cousteau style" voyages under the sea.

This has happened to me 3 or 4 times in the last hour with the Nomad. It's pretty wild when it happens, but it's a pain having to walk 5 mins back to the vehicle.
