3rd BUSINESS Day on that side of the pond has come to a conclusion and still nothing.

Given both companies are on that side of the pond this is very disappointing now.

Surely it must just be an install file. Can't someone with the Steam version find it in their Steam folder and upload it somewhere?

Last i cheked installing the steam version of the patch recquires the steam API. Thus not working outside of steam.
Meanwhile the Steam version has had 4 experimental/beta branch patches now.

4 vs 0, pretty clear someone is NOT trying their hardest to make sure they are also resolving issues.

Sure would like that save recovery one, and the shader caching one.

.

UPDATE: AMD Phenom Support
Thousands of lines of assembly have been rewritten to support AMD CPUs. The game code no longer relies on anything above SSE 2,
Havok Physics has also now created new libs. Game is now confirmed working on Phenom CPUs.

UPDATE: Mouse Smoothing
Smoothing on mouse movement has been improved to prevent hitching or stuttering, and is now adjustable through the Options menu in “Mouse Smoothing”.
It now defaults to off. If you feel the framerate is "slow" or "lumpy", please make sure that this is turned off (it helps players with sub-30 fps)

UPDATE: Improved Performance
On CPUs with 4 threads or fewer, performance has been improved.
On CPUs with 8 threads, performance has also been significantly improved.

UPDATE: Radeon 6xxx
Added support for this GPU, which doesn't support OpenGL 4.5 fully.

UPDATE: Player Saves
Help to recover some player saves which had been lost or corrupt.

Alt-Tab has improved
Some systems/configs were crashing or not pausing correctly on Alt Tab. This should now be resolved.

Shader Caching
Framerate was initially stuttering due to shaders not being correctly cached by the GPU on some systems. We have replaced the GPU caching system. You may notice some stutter during the Galactic Map intro to the game (the very first time you run), but it should be smoother from then on (this will be fixed in future). This is particularly true on ATI cards

Max FPS Cap
On some CPU/GPU configurations, setting Max FPS to 60 or 30 was not giving 60 or 30 FPS (causing stuttering). This has been improved.

Intel GPU Detection
We do not currently support Intel GPUS. We are working on this for a future patch, to expand our min spec.
In the meantime, the game will now let you know if you are trying to run with an unsupported GPU. This will hopefully flag for some users that their high end GPU has not been selected.

Gsync
Gsync has been disabled by default, which was causing an issue for some users

You do realize that uploading the beta patch is up to NMS devs, not GOG?

You do realize it is up to GOG to argue, contract, get equal levels of support from the developer/publisher. Not US.
What about "SmartSteamEMu" so you can emulate Steam games and play online content even if your
machine has no internet connection whatsoever.

And what is GOG supposed to do if the devs are not uploading it? Enlighten me please.

contract
Did you miss that word?
If they are not willing to negotiate the contracts they have with the developers and publishers to get equal levels of support for their customers it needs to say that flat out on the store page.
So as to what they can do, that would depend on their contracts with said developer/publisher. In this case HelloGames.

Overall, from a consumer standpoint this should be a non-issue and we should have proper support. I do not understand why you would even argue against this.
i just posted how to get the patch...go find the thread.

i got it, the game works 100% now.

have fun with these idiotic controls.
Figured I'd give this a bump. Patch 1.32 is on the beta channel in Galaxy, was uploaded a few hours ago.
