Tried to donate at a space station and the game crashed. Repeated this and again it crashed.

Have read about this in other forums. It may be fixed in the 3xperimental but GOG users are no longer worthy of so we will need to wait for it to be corrected in a future patch.

In the interim, you would have to either not donate or roll back the game version but probably would also have to roll back to backup save from the previous game version. Saves from a newer update are almost always incompatible with previous versions of the game.

It's been fixed in the 5.51 patch, which has been rolled out to Steam but not yet on GOG.
