just in case anyone was wondering. i didnt update to the foundation patch and everything works fine. i am connected to the servers and all seems as it should.

im not going to update until its forced on me.

its taken 26 mods to get this game looking how i want and playing how i want...im certainly not installing an update that has completely useless (to me) features and also breaks all my mods.

soooooo......if yo dont want to update...you dont have to.

Feel the same way, and thank you gog for putting in rollback options in the patch-thing in galaxy. Appreciate that very much.

But I like the graphics and colour schema updates they've made. Small sharp red laser bolts, more indirect lighting effects, and things like that work well too. Seems they've been putting at least some work into the way the shadows and lighting works on the planets as well. So the whole "sun rotates as I turn my head" thing is presumably about to be fixed.

...not really doing a great sell here, am I. So in short: wait for the actual update, that presumably is coming once the Sony support-period expires in 2.5months or so.

Worked like that all along.

PS4 users can even go back to v1.0. (PC started at 1.03).

I've got a working backup of each build for PC. Useful for numerous reasons.

Means they will never force anything upon you ever.

You can do whatever you want with your gameclient install it on thousends computers don't matter it'd your forever no game client needed like gog galaxy steam origin Uplay or whatever no cloud.

thats all great, but not what i was talking about. game clients and number of installs have nothing to do with connecting to the game servers....you know...so that other people can see what i have discovered and vice versa.
