All very good news. Can't wait until Friday.
I stopped reading when they mentioned "spoilers". Can someone give the spoiler free changes that may be of interest to those of us not wanting to spoil any surprises? Like excluding anything about the story itself or the center of the galaxy or whatever. Just curious if they changed some mechanics or added new features that may be of interest.

3 unique paths you can follow,
Galaxies are up to 10X larger,
Creatures are more diverse,
Worked on planets, new types,hazards,atmosphere,terrain generation,
more ship types per star systems,
more ship and suit inventory slots,
trading is deeper,
feeding creatures worked on,
lighting and textures worked on,
lot of balancing of suits and ships and weps and some upgrades added,
rewrote auto and weapon aim and made Ai more challenging,
advanced space combat techniques introduced,
removed several exploits,
networking worked on so you can scan systems others have discovered on map,

That is the gist of it i think.
Interesting. It would've have been kinda nice to play the game and discover the fact that some animals are tamable but I don't consider that or anything else in that list as a spoiler.
Supposedly, one of the patch notes is:

"Fixed bug where the sky was man's"

(Note: I do not know this game and don't currently have any plans to purchase it, but I thought this was funny.)
