Their implementation of Vulcan is pretty jank. It refused to start for me with an error until I updated my GPU drivers, seems like it doesn't catch every driver that needs to be updated. Updating your driver should get you past the screens, but I wouldn't bother. It still BSODs and crashes a lot, it's an absolute dumpster fire, don't trust it with your valuable savegames. You can't even change your keybindings, the bindings menu is even visually broken.

If you want to play anyways, first copy your working game to a safe location, then update. If you already did the update, only play a new game, stop when you crafted the hyperdrive. Warping seems to cause crashes or BSODs. Risk it if you want, but don't risk your savegames.

If you want to play your savegames, do this, and wait until they fixed this mess.
