Again GOG keeps delaying the classic DRM free download version of a No Man‘s Sky update. While Galaxy users are enjoying the new version for more than a week now, the seemingly second class classic users are stuck with 2.12. I am getting pissed by this update policy. WTF is going on, GOG?

I got 2.13 yesterday in Galaxy, as probably everyone else on GOG using Galaxy. I usually despise using Galaxy, but since the game relies on the services it provides for being able to use MP, I bit the bullet anyway.

But I am also an avid user of offline installers, and even in Galaxy, there's no 'Game Backup Copy' for 2.13 available for now.

Last I heard, the offline installers require additional manual preparation compared to the Galaxy updater, which introduces delays.

No, I'm not happy with that either -- delaying updates for the offline installers is like slowly beating people to using the Galaxy client exclusively. Not a desirable move from where I sit, regardless, if it's on HG or GOG.
I'm eagerly awaiting the DRM Free version of No Man's Sky beyond 2.13.
It's a significant update and there are a lot of fixes included that may make the game run better.
I would be pissed if I was going away again for an extended period away from network connections. This is probably the longest I have waited for the offline installer. Come on HG (this isn't GOG's fault, Stellaris 2.4.0.7 offline was up in hours)
Not ideal, but I think 2.14 will be the next Offline Backup Installers ..

https://www.nomanssky.com/2019/10/beyond-patch-2-14/

The Galaxy Experimental Betas last week did not update to 2.13 for me, and went straight to this weeks beta which has now gone public as 2.14. Maybe we have to disable the Experimental branch in Galaxy these days to let the Public version get downloaded (I saw someone mention on the steam forum a similar thing happened to users on the steam client too) .. But anyway up, I also have not seen an offline version of 2.13 or a Galaxy version. Weird and not usual, maybe HG wanted to squish more bugs for us GOG players reporting issues via Zendesk, before they gave us another backup installer - But then even with the latest there are still a lot of issues Beyond introduced for us single players which have still not been addressed because they seem to be prioritising the biggest crowd, ie MP and VR issues.

I found a curious workaround for GOG's sad failure to provide offline updates in time. If you really need a game updated, just install GOG Galaxy, let Galaxy scan your games, wait for Galaxy's automatic update and uninstall Galaxy after the update process is finished. The updated games remain updated though and can be played offline without Galaxy. That worked for me with No Man's Sky, Everspace and Dead Cells, Give it a try!
2.14 public release just came down the pipe in Galaxy for me, so I think the Offline installers will be created soon.
I can confirm this. 2.14 is available via Galaxy.
By installing, updating and uninstalling Galaxy I do have a workiing offline version 2.14 (53044).

Let's hope for a quick release of the offline installers as well, my gaming PC does not have internet.

Same here. I hope before the weekend!
Now with 2.14 available, I'd like to have the offline installers as well. I rather enjoy backing up all the various versions of games for storage so I can pick and choose which I might prefer, personally.

Galaxy is a fine service, but nothing's gonna replace having offline installers for me, so hoping this is remedied soon.

I've been using Galaxy ocassionally to pull and archive updates which weren't available otherwise on GoG. The notable exception being No Man's Sky, since for a few (optional) in-game features the API Galaxy provides is required. I'vt been playing NMS without Galaxy for, well, a long time until lately.

Since downloading installers using the web interface is a superflous chore, I am using (a locally modified version) of gogrepo.py.

Why is it so hard for GOG to offer a 'download all updates since last I downloaded' for the offline installers ?
Offline installer for 2.13 is currently available but will probably be replaced soon by 2.14.

There is now a 2.14 hotfix came down via Galaxy today. No idea what fixes were made.
Admitted, GoG is usually slower than Steam for releasing updates, but the good side of the coin is: The updates work and the game works with far less trouble than the **** Steam interface.

And guess what I like more...
