Is this game entire playable in first-person mode or are there sections where you are forced to play in third-person?

It starts you off in 3rd person, if you're quick you can change to 1st person without dying ! Don't rememebr any non-1st person after that apart from a few flickering glitches.

Yes there is an option hidden away in an unusual (unusual for PC players) menu for both Player Character first / third person, and for the Starship Cockpit / outside views.

I haven't changed it for a while but I am pretty sure you get to it by pressing x in game, and using the q / e keys to scroll the menu to find it.

The game used to be by default First person for Player character, but when Hellogames introduced third person view they made that the default view.

Pretty sure all the Exocraft can have their views changed too.


Caveat : I don't use VR so no clue what the score is with those setups.

In VR everything is first person straight away.
