If I stand in a room and want to remove a hallway the game usually gives me a Player in Object message. I'm just standing in a normal part of the room though. I have to back up some distance for it to work.

I'm now trying to add a 2nd landing pad to my base. My ship is docked at the 1st landing pad and I'm trying to place the new one adjacent to it. It gives me a message that my ship is inside the object. How can it be inside the build area when it's docked at a landing pad and the landing pad isn't in the way?
I was in a T-intersection and had my back against the flat wall. I couldn't place a room opposite me because it said I was inside the object.

When placing buildings around the outer perimeter on my base many of the categories disappear when I leave the bubble, but while inside the bubble I'm too close to the structure I want to build.

I think this is reversed. The categories should stay active a certain distance from the bubble so I can place them inside while standing outside. The buildings should only take up the space of the structure itself.

This is also a problem observed when placing buildings underground as they wind up creating pits around them which turn any underground construction that breaks the surface unsightly.
