vaotix: Yeah. We don't know if this is even coming to GOG at all. Given that there's no GOG logo on the trailer and also knowing how they treated us with the NEXT update last time, I'm not holding my breath.

Thank god for that. Only a shame they didn't tell support it was coming! I got this reply from them on 6th Aug, the day before this announcement:

I'm afraid that I can't comment on any upcoming deals and releases (or lack thereof). I can only assure you that we're doing everything possible to get our hands on the best content possible.

Unfortunately the process can be very complicated. There are many variables to take into account when trying to secure distribution rights from a publisher or developer, and it's not always possible to come to a compromise that satisfies all. This is especially true for GOG, as we want to uphold our core values (like no copy protection, or fair pricing).

Also, I strongly suggest checking out Community Wishlist - while this won't make us get rights for these titles all of a sudden, every vote counts! :)

With all the crap that is going on with gaming industry recently I slowly move to GOG with my most beloved games.
So if Hello Games decides to stick with Steam and consoles mainly then they are loosing my support.
I'd rather not play NMS and stay on GOG than move to another platform.

Same! I remember back when Steam launched, and the concept was just so weird and way too gatekeeper-y to me, I hated Steam from the start for it. I remember a friend showing and explaining that "new thing" to me, and all I could say was, "but why". I never installed Steam, and was cautious of DRMs that came with games - and games requiring Steam were put back on the shelf, no exceptions. For years. That's why I loved GoG from day one!
And here we are now, with GoG becoming bigger and better!

Just wondering why Steam has a 75% sale, while GoG has a 50% sale on NMS...

For me both of them are 50% on sale: 27,49€ on Steam and 29,99$ on GOG. You sure you are looking at the right game?

Also, Hello Games kept the game updated on GOG regularly besides that one time with multiplayer issue, which now works fine if you use GOG Galaxy.
Both Steam and GOG show -50% so maybe it's a regional thing?
Let's see if we get the update tomorrow. Multiplayer issue again may mean no update at all for GOG owners.
I bet when it arrives it`ll be very late in the day like 18:00hrs... It always is for the UK with just about every release of every game ever.
We have to wait for amuricans that's why it's always 6pm or later...
I'll probably wait till weekend anyway and I won't be surprised if we won't get the VR part untill xmas or after...
Mmmm its 11:16 AM Wednesday 14th here in NZ and no update for NMS here... I guess it must be tied to the date/time in the UK which means Thursday 15th here in New Zealand....

Laurie
Yes, 14th August as a date, but the day is long. Looking forward for the rest of the hours, waiting for update.
Made one day holiday to play the VR update directly at the start so I hope it's coming not to late ...

That`s what I thought. Annoying. Especially for a British game made by a Brit guy!

Also it`s worrying that there`s no indication that GOG will even get it, though I suspect we will. It would just be nice if NMS would do the decent thing and just do a quick post to say or just stick a GOG symbol up instead of letting us worry and conjecture.

I fully expect that GOG will be the last platform to receive the update, and by several hours. I would not be surprised if we get a message at that time informing GOG players that VR will not be included in our update.
