I restarted 3 times and progressed to finding the space anomaly for the first time. I keep meeting the NPCs that can be hired when I talk to anyone I see but end up having to refuse them since there's no quest for the NPC tables.

Have they removed them because of the research thingies inside the space anomaly or do you get them later down the line? Or maybe more likely that quest line is bugged? How do you learn those crafting recipes other than the NPCs? I haven't seen a seperate vendor or anything for it.
edit: feel free to give spoilers I don't mind, just want to know if I missed anything or you get them later on.

From what I have found so far, you can now find the blueprints randomly in the broken machines and as reward for giving the correct answer/item to the random aliens you encounter. I didn't find any of the desks to hire base managers etc though. not sure if it's bugged or not at this point.
NOTE: If you delete your first base for any reason, the quest attached to it is forever broken so you will not be able to discover any further info/items that are connected to it.

TY for the response my old saves pretty much scuffed up so I deleted them and if you get crafting recipes at random and the rest is inside the anomaly I guess those NPCs are removed all together? But then why do I keep running into NPCs that want to be hired?

Well I'll have to delete this save with the next fix or update anyway lol we'll just wait and see
