5.11 released on Friday before lunch time, but as usual GOG players have to wait until GOG staff get round to it after the weekend.

BUT Be warned : There is a really bad bug currently. Dont go warping to new Galaxies or going through the Centre, as you will permanently lose your Freighter (and everything you built on it, Frigates collected, upgrades etcetera).

Until GOG gives us the 5.11 update which Hellogames have submitted to them, do not go galaxy hopping.

I'm waiting for the patch too. I haven't even updated to 5.10 yet.
Can you tell me - as long as you don't use your freighter, is 5.10 safe?
Thanks

No idea, I was doing the Aquarius expedition in a new game save slot when I found out, so have not gone back to my main long term playthrough game save yet .. just in case.

I'm probably being a bit paranoid, it may well be you specifically need to have jumped to a new galaxy already, but in the last 8 years I have seen a lot of weird bugs which you would think shouldn't happen after an update which logically thinking should not touch that part of the game. And after putting so much effort into upgrading my Freighter and all its Frigates/Base build onboard/Upgrades .. I'm just not risking going back to my main save until 5.11 is released for us.

The release delay on GOG is a pain in the proverbial sometimes.

I feel your pain. I think I'll wait for the patch.
Thanks for responding.
I bet it's posted just when another patch is announced by HG.
Always one behind with GoG it seems.
And thats why you backup your game data ...
5.11 update has happened :)
5.11 apparently does not address the issue as there is a new 3xperimental today with the first item being:

"Partially restore freighters ... and frigate fleets for players who lost them when changing galaxies while playing 5.10." [Emphasis mine]

In version 5.11, the bug has been fixed, but for those who lost their frigate fleet, it will not be restored.

5.11 release: "Fixed a rare bug that could reset player freighters when warping."

They are attempting a recovery in the experimental phase.
So if you haven't lost your fleet, you can use the 5.11. version without this bug.
