PanterACFH: Well, it could be a mix of the NMS update and latest nvidia driver. If I disable the nvidia in game overlay it is back to smooth as silk with everything maxxed out.
Prior to this 1.35 update, the game ran fine with the nvidia overlay on.
Strange
CharlesGrey: Right, I think people mentioned some conflicts with that Nvidia overlay thing in other threads.
That is weird. Truth to tell, I've passed along the same recommendation and turned off the NVidia overlay on my setup here.
A week or so ago I went looking for some NMS screenshots, both the F12 flavor and the "floating camera" pictures. Both of those directories existed and I had captures but in each of them the last capture was from June, nothing more recent. WTF?
I managed to grab a couple of screenshots using the Windows Print Screen to the clipboard and then pasting that into Corel. Slow and unreliable and an all around pain but at least it did work.
Then a couple days ago I re-enabled the NVidia overlay as a test (to capture some images of an ongoing bug with player point-of-view location in the ship's cockpit) and I haven't noticed any change in performance in-game.
So, weird, phase of the moon stuff I guess. I do not log into NVidia/GeForce Experience/whatever, so that may make a difference?
