JaPan: Hello, is the game version 1.00 or 1.01? Thanks.
It seems it is 1.0 version..I just downloaded v1.01

I think GOG should put an update next to game for download
Only the launcher screen indicates 1.01, the windows registry says 1.0, GOG's download page says
1.0.0 [though these could be for the "GOG version" of the game] and the modding readme files included are in .DOC format as opposed to .RTF that they were to be swapped for when applying the 1.01 patch for the retail game (see the very end of the version history for the 1.01 patch at for example shacknews).

Plus, it's possible to start a new campaign and assign a blank space as a name, unclear if this is
what was supposed to be corrected by the 1.01 patch (just clicking continue without even
assigning a blank space does not work, one gets prompted and maybe this was the fix?):

"- Fixed a problem with the campaign names so now you can't create a campaign with a blank name. "

One can even apply the retail 1.01 patch (it doesn't give any errors) but then the game asks for the CD when one
tries to play...

Trainers for 1.01 don't work either, says wrong version, which for me is a bummer, would be nice
to be able to fool around a bit more (not nearly as much free time on my hands as I had ten years
ago) and as there's no developer console...

EDIT: it could be that it's the already patched version, GOG got back to me and said so but they'd look into the matter. I may have been fooled by the modding readmes file format and that one can apply the retail patch. Was wrong about the trainers, those readily available are for the 1.0 version of the game.

Do you have a "nexus_00.dap" file in your Nexus folder after installation? If that's the case, then you're probably up-to-date already. That file is part of the 1.0.1 patch and also comes preinstalled with the Steam version. I don't have the GOG version, so I can't check it myself... :(
That is quite correct, I can confirm that the GOG version of Nexus
is 1.01
despite my earlier ramblings ;)

Many thanks for your N:TJI community & Nexus Skirmisher by the way :D

Please don't apply retail patches to our versions of games as they tend to re-apply the DRM we take off.

If you have ever have any doubts as to what version a game is please either write to us via the Support link or PM me and I'll look into it myself as best as possible. Thanks :D.
