Is it possible to do on professional difficulty?

I've followed the guide from here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/6420/discussions/0/611702631211897530/
but come on.

Why bother having the secondary objective if it's physically impossible to do it because of grandpa the spaceship?

I did it today on hardest difficulty, easily. What you want to do is destroy both of the ships' hull weapons, one by one (target one gun, then the other). Once that's done, they're pretty much harmless.

Oh and as soon as the mission begins, set your engines to full power to get there quicker.

edit: nevermind. I double-checked and I've actually left the difficulty at Beginner. DIsregard my tips, lol
