I am very new to the game, and since I cannot get my money back I decided to do some tweaking. However new I am to modding this one is a bit over my head. He doesn't use typical "Mount" commands in his INI file and I am not sure if that matters anyway. Can someone help me out here.

I am trying to increase the capabilities of my ships. The game came with some preinstalled mods mostly demonstrating how much different the game could be. What I want to do is play the games original story line in single player mode but tweak my ships.

Well, your main point of contact would be arparso . de and their forum. To my knowledge, this is the last active Nexus community, and all questions should be answered there - I hope.

Is this the GoG version? That I know of, last I played this version it didn't come with any mods.

Play it on easy level the first time. Take notes, read the walkthrough if you can't figure out a mission.

I'm not having too much difficulty.

The biggest problems to me is that the pre-mission intelligence is pretty lacking, so you have to come prepared for anything. This, of course, makes it harder on some of the missions where you need lots of firepower, or lots of fighters, or something like that.

But so far, I've gotten to the Fall of the Vargdrag, and I've only had to play a couple missions more than once (and a couple of computer crashes, but I'm not counting those).
