I'm running Windows 8 64-bit and I've used XPadder and Pinacle in the past to use my 360 controller on games with no gamepad support.

But neither program works when NWN2 is running, though they run fine on the desktop controlling the mouse, etc.

Pinnacle even has a profile published for NWN2. Is there something about the GOG version that's preventing them from functioning in game?

Any fix for this?

I haven't tried to use pinacle for NWN2, but is there a chance that the profile has the default installation location hardcoded in it? Likely something like "c:\program files\atari\..." The gog version installs to "c:\gog games".

Found the problem. Because NWN2 requires you run as administrator you must run pinnacle in administrator too for it to work. I think the UAC blocks it otherwise.

When I play I playu as I would a MMORPG where I use the mouse for camera control and the keyboard for movement and skills only time I use the mouse for clicking and changing equipment. You can basically play with just the keyboard except for a few things like inventory management and changing spells around. I can see using the sticks for mouse when you use the left stick for movement and right stick for mouse.
