As stated on the game card, the sticky thread and several other threads. you need to request a CD key from GOG support. The game itself is DRM free - the CD key is to connect to servers and existing copies of the game which expect a serial number.

Cool, too bad I'll be six states away by the time I get any response from GoG.com.

DMR free does not mean that it is licence free. The licence still only allow you to play a single copy of the game per CD-Key.
