Hello everyone, I usually use Steam so I'm not used to GOG.

For the life of me I cannot find the editor tool. I've looked at tons of other tutorials, and just can't seem to navigate my way there.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to make a few assumptions:
- Your operating system is Windows 10
- You've installed the game using GOG Galaxy
- You're using the Enhanced Edition of the game

If any of those assumptions aren't correct, it might affect my instructions - but let's go with it and see what happens. :-)

For whatever reason, the GOG installer for the Enhanced Edition doesn't put any links to the editor on your Start menu, in GOG Galaxy, or anywhere else. So you'll have to launch it manually.

1. In GOG Galaxy, go to your installed games library, then click on Neverwinter Nights. This will display the game overview.
2. Click the icon to the right of Play (it looks like circles and lines). A menu will appear.
3. Click Manage Installation > Show Folder. This will open a File Explorer window showing the location where you installed the game.
4. Double-click the BIN folder. Then double-click the WIN32 folder. Within this folder, you should see a file called nwtoolset. That's the editor.

You can launch the editor directly by double-clicking that file. If you want to create a shortcut to the editor, you've got a couple options.

The easiest way is to right-click the nwtoolset file, then click Pin to Start. That will put a shortcut to the editor on your Start menu.

If you want to add a link to the editor in GOG Galaxy:

1. Check the address bar at the top of the File Explorer window. That shows the path to where the toolset is located. You'll need to know that in just a moment...
2. In GOG Galaxy, select Neverwinter Nights, then click the icon next to Play. (The circle and lines one.) A menu will appear.
3. Click Manage Installation > Configure. An options window will appear.
4. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on Custom executables / arguments. A few more options should appear below.
5. Click Add another executable / arguments. A window will appear titled Select an executable to link.
6. You'll now need to navigate to the folder where the editor is installed -- the path that you noted back in step 1. (Typically, you'll need to click through: Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition > bin > win32.
7. Double-click on nwtoolset. The File Explorer window will close and you'll be back at the GOG Galaxy window.
8. You should see the File2 field pointing to the nwtoolset.exe file. If so - that means you'll now have a link to the editor in GOG Galaxy.
9. Optionally, you can click in the My label field and change the name of the link to something like "Editor" or "NWN Toolset"... or whatever you want the menu item for that link to be.
10. Click OK.

Now, when you click that "options" icon to the right of Play you'll see a new menu: Additional Executables. And the one item within the menu should be your Editor.

You can follow these same procedures to add nwsever.exe to your Additional Executables menu - which is the multiplayer server app (i.e. if you want to host a multiplayer game).

Let me know if those instructions worked for you or if you ran into any problems. Good luck!

P.S. Welcome to GOG and DRM-free gaming!
