Anyone else play this game? mid-90's

hadnt thought about it in years and dont see any mention of it on this site.

That's an old game. Sadly, you can't really-really play it b/c AOL shut down the servers. But the last I looked (a few years back), a bunch of old players with exceptional memory were rebuilding the entire game. Might be worth looking up.

Licensing will never work to get that game online - even thru gog. Totally different animal than the sort of thing we have here with gog.

I agree the aol game has some nostalgia value but - as someone who helped build AOL, I can tell you that this technology you do not want. Some things should not return from the grave. :P

NWN is way better than that game. Plus you can make your own server/modules with NWN.

MMO style anyone? Our server can host up to 384 simultaneous players and we can add more servers to that anytime. NWN can do it all, and do it better.

Forgottenworlds is the closest thing to AOL NWN out there. Last I checked servers were still up forgottenworld.com/

I'd be happy with a save game option. You can download and play it buy can't save.
