One of the quests in Luskan involves making a deal with either of the High Captains and bring the head of one to the other. I was trying to make a decision since you can supposedly talk to both of hem before deciding which one to kill. In the end you'll kill them both but if you complete one of the captain's request before you'll get experience. My problem is that I went through the whole Luskan sewers and then Baram's sewers. There were a lot of his minions but not Baram himself ( or his projection rather). I found the Yuan-Ti who has a note that Baram is summoning undead then he should be in his base proper. Was I supposed to encounter him in the sewers at all? How can I speak to him and Kurth before delivering the head and then killing the other captain? This is a little confusing. Any help would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

Go to the brothel and talk to Oreth or Raine to get the keys for both Baram's and Kurth's lair. Now you have to choose which one you want to talk to first (I don't think it's so important).

If you chose Baram, go in the northeastern part of Luskan and enter Baram's place using the key you got before. You can now enter his lair and talk to his image: he should ask you to kill Kurth.

If you chose Kurth, go to the southwestern part of Luskan and find the entrance to the docks: you should find Kurth's image on a bridge and he should ask you to kill Baram.

This way you should be able to talk to the images of both.

About killing them, you have to enter their lairs:
- The entrance to Baram's lair is in the sewers beyond his image and near the location where you killed the Yuan-ti with the note about him.
- The entrance to Kurth's lair is in the northeastern part of the docks area, beyond his image.

Thank you so much for your answer. Actually I discovered something. You have to enter the base directly so that the High Captain's image will be there. If you take the back entrance then he won't appear. I learned this by going to a previous save file and trying it.

Exact: both lairs have two different entrances and if you sneak past Baram's or Kurth's image, then you won't be able to talk to them.
