I have a bit of a problem with NWN - namely stacking the Sash of Shimmering and the Ring of the Wood-Elves. The Sash provides +12 to my character spell resistance, and the ring provides +16 spell resistance. Here is my problem - in game I put on the Sash, and that was fine. I had +12 spell resistance. But, when I then put oh the ring, and check my character in game character sheet, it says I have +16 spell resistance. Does the spell resistance not include both items? Am I missing something?

Certain bonuses and resistances don't stack, and in your case, only the highest spell resistance is counted. You can read more on how stacking works . For more on spell resistance, read more at this [url=http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Spell_resistance]link and scroll down the page to "Sources."
