The CD-key coming with the installer is a generic one, it'll allow you to play the game.

To play Neverwinter Nights online, you will require a unique CD key. Please contact us through this support form and select "multiplayer key request" in the "I have a problem with:" drop-down menu. We will send you the CD key along with additional instructions.

Changing the CD key will result in the premium modules (like Kingmaker) not working anymore, because they will use the default key for validation. To get around this, go to your My Account page and find the "premium modules re-installer", under the game's additional content. Download this file and install it. The modules will now be adapted to the new CD keys.

thats not really acceptable, so i have to wait to play online? why don't they send this out in an email once you buy the game. very unprofessional.

I don't think that some form of compensation is out of the question here. this matter makes you as a company look very bad, to 2 paying customers. Word of mouth spreads fast, and internet posts, a lot faster.

Okay its been over 2 days now. this customer service is horrible. From this experience neither of us will be buying from your website again. I am also getting close to Contacting the Better Business Bureou, and a lawyer. We paid for something and did not receive what we paid for, that is against the law. I expect this matter resolved before I have to take that route.

You did get what you paid for. If you check the product page, it says right at the end of the product description:

Multiplayer notice: In order to access the multiplayer you must first enter your unique cd-key. For details please follow this link.

The link takes you to a page that states:

I agree it's not exactly ideal, but they do it this way so they're not just handing out thousands of unique keys that won't even be used. And I also feel it should be a little more clearly displayed that this procedure needs to be done if you want to play multiplayer. But the info is there and you did get what you paid for, so going to the BBB or to a lawyer is going to be a waste of your time.

I might add it's not my website actually, given how I'm just a fellow customer and forum dweller.
Also where it is possible that someone who works for GoG might read the boards here, There is no garentee when they will or even if they will.

If you really want to complain to GoG use the "contact us' option under support.

That way you will be complaining to someone who can do something about it.

If on the other hand you want help from other people who know about the game, Feel to ask for help here. I dout any of us want to here you complaints, And unless a person who work for GoG happens to reads it, No one can even do anything about it.
