Hello everyone.

I had my NWN keys stored on what used to be biowares website but since that went away and origin has taken over, it seems the keys did not transfer? Is there anyway to get the keys back for the original series. If not, not a big deal I guess, since the online aspect no longer works.

If you've lost the keys, then you're probably out of luck. If you have NWN attached to your origin account you might try contacting their support and seeing if they can help you out. I don't know whether you'll get anywhere with that, but your best course of action is just to find your physical manuals and get the keys from those.

Also, only the official servers are dead. Online NWN is still alive and well. Simply type in any username and password. You will get a time-out waiting for the official servers, at which point you can play LAN or direct connect to any server. There are fan-run server listings to help you find such games. You still need a CD-key for this purpose, since CD-key is used to uniquely identify players.

And by servers in this case he's referring to the online authentication, NOT servers you play on. Most/all online worlds have their own security systems tied to CD-Keys hence why they still matter.

Also, NWNCX will bypass the waiting for the non-existent master server and will also list online games directly in the gamespy section if the game owners have set-up some basic things on their end.

Overall, though, NWN online is quite alive and kicking, still dozens of worlds active with good playerbases and dozens more that are still running even if they aren't the most active.
If you purchased any of the Premium modules, you can still play them just by skipping through the alert pop-ups.
