Does this GOG version of the game have any sort of an online presence at all? Basically I just want to know if I can join servers like I can in NWN1 on Steam. I'm really missing being able to play as a Warlock.

The Enhanced Edition has that ability though I don't know the way to do it since I don't play online. I guess you need to go to Multiplayer and look for the servers, maybe the IP direct address or something... The Diamond Editon however is a different story and I don't think you can, but I might be wrong.
