Just wondering if anyone else noticed that the NWN1 soundtrack, which used to come free with the game on GOG (for, what, $9...?) is now being sold separately with just 3 more tracks in it for $9.99 with no NWN game included... as a standalone purchase.

Of course NWN1 had an outstanding soundtrack, so I personally believe it's easily worth the $9.99. That being said, it seems like if the soundtrack came with the game in the past on GOG, it should come with the NWN1: EE now on GOG, shouldn't it?

Granted, we get another 3 tracks... but 3 tracks shouldn't justify bumping the cost up from "free with the game" to $9.99 as a standalone, should they?

I was surprised to see the EE doesn't come with the soundtrack like the older versions of NWN sold on GoG in the past, tbh..
Yeah, that's the downside of Beamdog's enhanced editions. They don't come with all the bonus content. But remember that if you buy EE here, you'll also get the original game with all bonuses that came with it before (this includes the soundtrack as well). So the downside is somewhat offset.

Well that's interesting. Are you 100% sure you get the NWN1 soundtrack with the regular edition of NWN:EE? Because I checked the store page, and I remember it not mentioning the soundtrack on the store page for NWN:EE regular edition, but saying you get the soundtrack if you get the NWN:EE Digital Deluxe edition.

If you get the soundtrack with NWN:EE regular edition, GOG should put that info on the store page.

When you buy NWN Enhanced Edition here, you get NWN Diamond Edition as well (the classic version of the game). DE comes with every bonus that was available before the EE was released. This includes the soundtrack.

Yes, you DO get everything that came with the original NWN:DE, by means of getting the original NWN:DE with its bonuses upon purchasing NWN:EE.

Thus, the only reason for buying NWN:EE soundtrack is for FLAC (the original soundtrack was in MP3 only, while the purchasable version is both MP3 and FLAC) or to support Beamdog.

It's one of the lies being spread around on GOG. "We had the soundtrack for free previously, now we need to pay for it!". A few others that come to my mind immediately are "BioWare released premiums for free and now we have to pay for them!" or "Beamdog stole NWN mods and sell them as an enhanced edition!".

But putting my lamentation on spreading false rumors aside, yes - you get the soundtrack (and everything else from the DE) for free when buying NWN:EE.
