What in the world was in the last update? Windows 10 computer. AMD Ryzen and a 580 with 32GB of ram. All of a sudden the game doesn't start. No error or message. Nothing obvious in the Windows event viewer. I've try to do the repair installation and it didn't fix anything. Where are the logs and what am I supposed to do?

Just found a message but it's logged as info when it definitely should be an error.

Application popup: nwmain.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

Nothing shows up at all. Click the play button in Galaxy, it goes green to grey to green. Try and run the executable in the game's directory I get a windows alert error as mentioned above. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Followed the support and reinstalled DX. Ran repair on all my C++ distributables. Tried running as admin. No idea what is left to try.

Reinstalling OpenAL resolved this

I have exactly the same problem. Sorry to ask, what means OpenAL ?

Same problem here, also reinstalled C++ Redits for all that I was able to find and also downloaded OpenAL. Nothing, still the same message comes up :(

The previous 8193.4 version is still available on GOG as an offline install if you want to temporarily roll back.
