I downloaded and installed the latest offline installer (setup_neverwinter_nights_ enhanced_edition_81.8193.16_(german_64bit)_(41295))
but the voice-overs are in English.
Did I do something wrong?
Thanks!

Non-English language problems seem to have been introduced by the patch.
All dialogues and characters voices in polish version are in English.
Hey :)

ich habe experimentiert! Das Problem liegt daran, dass der Patch (german-extras) die Dateien zwar kopiert,
aber nicht richtig aktiviert.
Die Sprachausgabe ist und bleibt nämlich unberührt im ../game/data-Ordner.
Dort befinden sich 4 .bif-Dateien, welche mit "en-" anfangen;

I experimented! The problem is that the patch (german-extras) copies the files,
but not activated properly.
The speech output is and remains untouched in the ../game/data folder.
There are 4 .bif files that begin with "en-";
en_convo.bif, en_voicesets.bif, en_xp1_sounds.bif and en_xp2_sounds.bif.

Rename this to be on the safe side !!

Then copy from the ../game/lang/de/data folder the same 4 files that start with "de"
into the ../game/data folder and rename "de" to "en" in the name.

Then switch to german in the options in the game.

Everything is fine and the speech output is then german :)
Let's see if that will be fixed soon.

I'll be waiting for a fix. Manual workarounds like this may or will break update compatibility.

I do not think so.
Exchanging files with pure sound content does not change any important data in any way.
And with an update, if it comes, everything will be overwritten again anyway.
So trust yourself
;)
As I understand it, the "Extras" pack brings localized movies.
But the german voice files should be installed by the german offline installer. So, I think they botched the offline installers.
P.S. The de files are not there, so nothing to copy.

I'm having the same issue with the polish version and I've tried basically every possible file renaming tricks (en_ -> pl_)
Seemed to work only without xp1 and xp2 files, after copying them the sounds were really messed up (for example, random dialogues were played in the main menu instead of other sounds lol).

The dialogues in the base game were okay though, but the character voices were also messed up (instead of laughing they were yelling, completely random).

Not worth it guys, it's better to wait for the patch.
I'm really disappointed with the developers. They INTRODUCED this problem in the first place with a patch, but now they are not bothered to provide a hotfix. Instead, fixing it with the next regular dev build seems fast enough. :-P
