Hi all
I was having the crashing on start up problem myself for a long time and couldn't fix it and just gave up and now I have found a way to fix that problem without losing sound, movies, graphics or anything.
It was funny how I found this solution because it all happened when I was having problems with another game called (Star wars the old republic mmo) and the problem I was having was it was taking too long to load and a friend of mine who I was play it with at the time told me to get a program called ccleaner to clean out my computer of all rubbish files and fix any problems in the registry and at first I was hesitant to but later that night I gave it a try but it didn't help my swtor game but it did fix my nvn problem and now I can play nvn at it's fullest.
Here's what to do to fix nvn diamond
1. Go on to google and type in ccleaner then download it from any of the sites given.
2. Wipe all traces of nwn diamond from you computer and I mean all of it.
3 install ccleaner and run it.
4. In the ccleaner go to the cleaner tab and click analyse to bring up all the junk that needs to be removed/deleted and
after it's finished analysing click run cleaner and remove/delete all junk.
Repeat step 4 until there's no junk left.
5. Then go to the registry tab and click scan for issues and after it's found all the issues click Fix selected issues.
Also repeat step 5 until there's nothing left to fix.
6. After all the rubbish files are gone and the issues are fixed close the program.
7. Now install nwn diamond to the c drive and NOT the gog file.
8. After it's installed right click on the shortcut and go to properties and In the nwn diamond shortcut properties go to
the compatibility tab and set the compatibility to XP SP3.
And now your done click on the shortcut and it should launch with no problems what so ever.
Sorry that there's so many steps it seam less when I thought it out in my head lol.
If this doesn't work please feel free to reply and I'll see what I can do.
See ya
Have a good time all and enjoy your nwn diamond.
