Im just trying to make a small room with some modded items for shits and giigles and i cant seem to make a room like i could easy in NWN 1.

How come Number 2 is so complex for?

NWN1 was way easier with the toolset. But NWN2 has a lot more functionality, so the cost is a more complex toolset.

The next evolution of the toolset is Dragon Age's toolset (built on a further modified Aurora toolset, but given a different name) makes the NWN2 toolset look like a child's toy. But it can do pretty much anything, including changing the weather in real life and altering the economic destiny of a 3rd world country (OK, those last two are hyperbolic statements -- but still, it can do a lot).
