I have a friend that's trying to join a Neverwinter Nights 2 Persistent World server and is receiving an error that says he's banned, but the problem is that he's not banned on the server.

Nowhere on the server--no files, no database, no nothing--is he banned.

He WAS able to get on it and play on it for a little bit, but then all of a sudden he's now receiving the error that I've posted a picture of to this thread.

We have tried reinstalling multiple times, both via GoG Galaxy and the offline downloader, switching CD keys, and even deliberately directly changing the iteration of the files generated from the installation (I.E.: me copying over some of the .ini files from my installation, which works fine, to his installation), and NONE of it has worked. Nothing we do seems to be resolving this error.

The owner and host of the server says that the error message generated is an engine error and not a server error. He is able to connect to other servers just fine. He just cannot connect to this one for some odd reason.

We have dug and dug and wiped out everything we could find that's related to NWN 2 or GoG Galaxy in ANY way and we STILL cannot get this working with a fresh install.

I'm running out of ideas except for quite literally downloading and uploading my own offline installer files to Dropbox (which I'm doing right now as I'm typing this!) and having him download those installer files and running the installer with that one in case for some random weird reason the files he's downloading for the installer aren't working right.

We REALLY need help with this.

Please, if anyone knows anything at all about this, help us!
