The first time I tried to play, the game seemed to work well enough. But I decided to start over with a different class, and my troubles began

Chargen works with no problem. It's only once I try to play that things go wrong.

When I try to run the game, the Intro shows me a completely blank/black screen. The audio functions normally.
Once the intro is done, I see the opening scene, with my PC. But at that point the game freezes. I get no response from the controls and end up having to use Task Manager to shut it down.

I recall that at one point I switched to a higher resolution,, so possibly that started the problem? But I switched back and that didn't help

I'm using a PC with Win 7.
