Computer is a HP ProBook 450 G5, and its only a couple of months old.

Have been playing NWN2 for a week or so and it's been running just fine aside from the fact I couldn't make it full screen so it was kind of smaller on the screen. Computer updated windows and now the game is SUPER slow, frame rate looks like 10fps if that...

- If the computer is plugged into power it runs a little bit better.
- All the options to change screen resolution now don't appear in the settings options.
- Now the game fits the screen perfectly.

Any ideas?

Also I'm really not tech savvy so simple language would be appreciated, I did spend about 3 weeks of last year trying to install microsoft word as an operating system....

Thanks

Did you try tinkering a little with the graphics options? Especially try to turn off vsync and check if it's any better without it. You might also try to lower every other setting to a minimum just to check whether the frame rate improves.

As for the resolution, this is a known issue. If you go to the Neverwinter Nights 2 folder located in the Documents, you'll find a file named nwn2.ini. Open it with a Notepad, find the following section and edit it as shown below:

[Display Options]
FullScreen=1
Width=1600
Height=900

You can also try to switch the game into windowed mode. Some people are reporting that this can unlock the resolutions in the menu.
