I'm hosting a co-op game using Tunngle. I'm Windows 7, the other is XP sp3. After getting everything set up, we created characters and were able to play the tutorial, swamp area, and the Inn (meeting the dwarf). After getting to that point, the host Win 7 host crashes.

After switching to XP sp 2 compatibility mode I was able to host for about 30 minutes and then again it would crash.

I started a single player game and it runs for about 20 minutes and then crashes. It will pause/freeze, sometimes going to a black screen before coming back. Sometimes it will just freeze and immediately crash. It always gives the generic "Program has stopped working".

Would love to play this with my son, any help is appreciated.
Give the Client Extension a try, as that includes a number of bugfixes for some known crash issues in the client.

If you still receive a crash WITH the CE in use (recommended on all of the machines running the game client), post a link to the crash log and I can take a look and see if it's a known issue. There are a number of crashes in the server side part of the game that have only been fixed with the dedicated server program under NWNX4, so it's also possible that you are hitting one of these (we'd need a crash log to be able to dig in further).

To get the crash log, go to the game install directory and pull the nwn2_errorlog txt file immediately after a crash, before restarting the game. You may have to click 'Show compatibility files' in Explorer to show the file if it isn't visible.
thanks,
I may not get a chance to play for a few days, but I'll try the client extension.
