Engerek01: I hate paladins because all 6 Abilities are important for them. Maybe not intelligence.

Darvin: Wisdom is only important if you actually care about spellcasting, which is irrelevant to multiclass Paladins, and dexterity is only important at low levels. At higher levels you'll be wearing full plate anyways, so 8 dexterity with a +4 dexterity item will cap out your benefits anyways. But yes, the Paladin and Monk suffer from being spread too thin and having to make serious sacrifices to make enfd meet.

One of my favorite playthroughs was as a fallen Paladin. Started off with Paladin levels, fell to evil and started the path of the Blackguard, then finished up as a Cleric (used the Aasimar for obvious reasons). Thanks to the Water domain I had evasion, and with Paladin/Blackguard I got charisma to saving throws twice for stupidly high saves.
Did you left wisdom low on that playthrough? I mean you ended up with cleric levels and with low wisdom does that work good? Also, do you remember your levels? I guess OC ends with level 20. So was it like 15 blackguard / 5 Cleric?

That particular build used a fairly high wisdom score, relying on the Aasimar's favorable attribute bonuses and a complete dumping of dexterity to make ends meet. I can't remember the exact level distribution, but I don't remember having very high level spellcasting when I finished Mask of the Betrayer so I probably had less than 10 cleric levels by the end. I may have had a fourth class mixed in there; it was a long time ago now, but you could build that same character in a lot of different ways. So long as you eventually get Epic Divine Might, your Paladin build can't go wrong.

Darvin: Paladins are a great class to play the campaign through with. The tricky part with Paladin is that you have every class feature that matters by level 4, so having a plan for multiclassing out is important for optimization. The build you link to would work well, but you can go in any number of directions. So long as you grab Divine Might relatively early, and ensure you line up Epic Divine Might once you reach the epic levels, you can do almost anything you want with a Paladin. The build you've linked to looks good, if that's what you want to play.
Yea i think i would enjoy having a super tank,,,, someone who can still be standing to resurrect all the morons that flop over after the big battles.

then i can do other interesting things with the companions (in between them laying on the ground that is).
