I played the main campaign for 50 hours and the ai was working fine. Then suddenly when I was doing quests in the city my companions stopped following me and attack enemies. No puppet mode on and ai button was on. Tried boadcasting follow, attack nearest and so on. Nothing. Tried changing the companions, didnt work.

So I though... okey I load a earlier save game. Ai still didnt work, so I though... okey I restart the OC, ai didnt work in the tutorial and the first part of the first act. So okey... I reinstall the game and make sure all folders are deleted(both in gog folder and my documents). Nope ai doesnt work. WTF! The ai died on me. lol :D

I even tried to install the ai hak mod but it didnt work.

Sure I can play with ai off, I recently achived Frozen Crown in Pillars of Eternity and it was pure micro... but that was not what I was looking for in this game.. I wanted to relax and just play the campaigns.

Anyone been in my spot? And found a solution? :)

Removed the game and installed it a third time and now the ai is working again. Not sure what happened. Some of the weirdest thing I seen during my 35 years of gaming.

I really hope its not breaking again, love the game otherwise and really want to play it all.

It's possible some variable got set accidently (sh*t happens) and corrupted your save. Does the AI bug out in a new game?

It's about the only reason I can think of that would persist through a clean uninstall/reinstall. Maybe a driver issue, but I doubt it.

Yeah working great now. Played for five hours without problems. Pretty weird thing. :D
