I am very new to NWN (I used to play a lot when i was really young, however i had no idea what i was doing or how the game worked at the time). I wanted to make a bow build and it seems like the Arcane Archer is the best option to go with.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what Arcane Archer build is considered to be the best to play through the base game and all the expansion content with and why its considered the best over other AA builds?.

Any help would be appreciated,
many thanks!

The base game is a game and the two exclamations are another game. So you would probably use two characters in total.

Arcane archer is not the best/strongest archer in the game. But he can be fun to play.

There are many builds with many strengths and weaknesses. People can and have argued about which is best. But since it's an arcane archer, I don't think carrying which is best is important. What's important is playing the way you want to play.

Most importantly, pick a class you like. Most go rogue, wizard, fighter, and or bard.

Take a lot of wizard levels, or a lot of fighter or rogue levels and then throw on a wizard or bard.

My favorite, though, is bard/red dragon disciple /arcane archer.

It's strong up close, is bard (my favorite class) and is good at a distance.

I would imagine that a pure bard or fighter would be better at archery, but I'm sure someone could back that up or put it down. Hickory is our resident dnd expert. He might weigh in. But he'll probably say what ibsay: play what you enjoy. The game isn't too hard and has wiggle room to make an interesting character, not just a powerful character.
